Got call from this # but machine got it before I could get to the phone. ID said Dir Asst. Left no message.
Got 3 calls from this #, all on the day & a few minutes apart. Luckily I had left my phone at home that day& they left no msg.
Recorded message asking for a specific name twice; recording stated that it if they had reached the party to press one, if not press two; I just hung up.
This morning I received a call from this number. They had my social security number and claimed I had defaulted on a Providian Credit Card and owed a balance of $1905.58. I have never had a card with Providian. When I asked them about details they were rude and told me to listen to them or further action would be taken against me. They said the last payment was made in December 1999 and that if I wanted to clear it up to avoid further action they would settle for $585.00. They gave me an address they claimed the last payment was made from, which was an address I have never used. When I tried to ask other questions they said "if you decide to get this matter taken care of without further problems call us back." The woman then hung up on me.
This number has been calling lately and leaving 888-912-7923 as their office number.. weird. I couldn't even understand what they were saying over the phone..

Some woman named Mrs. Price just called my cell phone at 1:46pm CST stating this is an important phone call to please call her back at 888-912-7923. She did not state the reasonings or nature of the phone call.
wow! they just called me 2 mins ago and said the same damn thing! she identified herself as ms. price and used the same line "Urgent someone call us back about a matter that has come across my desk" call 888 912 7923 - this is urgent" Scammer for sure!

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
