Received call from 406-720-2099. Hangs up after third ring. Good thing I have caller ID. I wish these companies and/or telemarketers would take in consideration that old people cannot get to the phone fast enough. I'm on the "Do Not Call" list and I still get these calls.
Got call this morning. CID said Credit Services. Press 1 if I wanted to lower intrest rates on my credit cards. Pressed 1. Guy with foreign accent came on and asked me what I wanted. I told him he should no why I was talking to him. He then thought for a few seconds and said, "Oh you are calling about lowering your credit card interest. I told him yes.THen he asked me if I had over 3K in credit card debt. I told him yes, He then asked me the same question again. I repied yes. (Actually, I was playing him along to get more information, so I could possibly turn them into authorities). At that point he must have sensed I was just playing with him and even told me I was just fooling around with him. I asked if he was calling me a liar. He said no, but he hung up.This is a scam and depending on the laws of your state, they can be prosecuted and certain Federal laws also allow prosecution. Report them to the FBI. Get your local TV stations and newspapers involved to get the word out on these type of scammers. Make it harder for them to do business.

The same for me. They called the house but did not leave a message. They must be working through the list. Caller ID came up as the State location "Montana".
This is ridiculous to get a call from a company claiming to lower interest rates on your credit card if you don't own one. I haven't owned a credit card in years only a bank debit card.

1) you are not obligated to talk to anyone on unknown phone numbers 2) if it's important enough your unknown caller should leave a message 3) if caller is rude or pushy just say "hang on a minute", put the phone down, and later, hang up when you the dial tone. TIME is the most valuable asset to sales folks so the longer you keep them on line the more likely you will be removed from the call list. It works for me !!
