They are still in business - the number was blocked automatically by Google Voice. No voice message was left.
I have received numerous calls from this number but they have never left a message and I don't answer if I don't know the caller.
Caller claimed to be from St. Jude and requesting donation. Had a lot of information about me including address and email but I believe it was a scam bc St. Jude's has never called me before.
interesting that others mentioned st judes...I had just been on their web site yesterday, after checking a friends obit stating donations to st judes would be appreciated. so did the funeral homes website somehow get my cell phone (unlikely), or did someone at st judes somehow track down my cell number, even though I never entered one character of info. too much of a co incidence.
I'd guess this is a scam. I got a call from this number claiming they were with Heifer International, and they wanted me to make a donation with my credit card, which I refused. I called Heifer today, and was told that they do not solicit donations by phone; if you call them, they will gladly take a donation, but they don't call you. So DO NOT give your credit card number to someone who calls from this number.
I wished everyone would take your advice Sarah. Don't answer the damn phone. If it is someone I know that is really trying to get in touch with me they will either leave a message or call me on my cell. No message..delete the number DO NOT CALL IT BACK!!
1. If uou are on the Do Not Call list, these people can be reported via that web site. I have reported three already.2. If you have donated to an organization and they have that info, the organization probably sold your information. Complain to them and re-think your donation process.
