It is from using a calling card. We use the Vox prepaid USA/Canada card and it always coems up as a 416 area code number. It's someone you know !!

yeah. there's this calling card company called DATAWAVE in Mississauga Ontario on Wolf RD (I think), and they have these 416-###-#### numbers every time someone uses them. 416 By the way is a Toronto area code.

Long distance call using calling card.

whats happening here is that there is people using calling cards to call friends and family, BUT, there are freak using the same cards to scam and torture people.......i just got a call from a girl, sounded like she was 10 and asked for violet....lol.....lucky i'm a nice guy...can't wait for the nexted call

my mom got a call from this number trying to pass themselves off as a charity asking her to support them -- and then they asked for her credit card and wouldn't take cheques. She figured out at that point it was a scam. So -- bottom line -- feel free to answer in case it is someone you know calling, but NEVER give out personal information over the phone.

Not a scammer. The call I received was legit. I had requested information from an ebay seller of good repute, and he was using a calling card, from the Toronto area. And yes, again, it was a legitimate call.It's bad form to go either dissing or recommending what you know nothing about.

just got a call from this number and let it go to the machine but it turned out to be a friend calling on a legitimate discount long distance package from his work... so answer it people, it might be someone you actually want to talk to ;)
