Hi Debbie ... Got a call from this number juat a few minutes after 9pm ... We have been getting a call from this number on a regular basis. We don't subscribe to the Toronto Sun and have spoken with them on several occassion because they keep dropping off the paper then billing us for it. They have been billing us for paper we never subscribed to in the first place. Then we call them to take us off their list and stop sending us paper. This would stop for a few days then it will start again. This whole process is quite annoying and frustrating. I hope you're able to shut these people down.
This number has called twice. Once last night @ 9:00 pm and again this afternoon. I answered no response. What happened to the do not call registry.
I put my phone number..etc on this website, www.the-cma.org, and I started receiving MORE calls from different telemartketers!!!
i dont even get a caller id, i just get unknown namethey call me everyday, so now i just pick up the phone and just listen.today was the first day in 2 months that theyv said hello? hello?2 months ago my hubby picked up and told them no, they asked if he had a credit card he said no, he continued to ask why and bugi can't believe they still call back
Hi Debbie! I've been getting calls from that number off and on for years! I've spoken to thema few times and have always asked to be taken off the call list. They stop calling for a while but then a couple of months later it starts back up. Now I just pick it up and hang up right away. What's the sense of asking anymore!?
Hey Really?!Come On!! do you work for this company how did you really get this alternate number as the number you provided is just a voicemail box?
newspapers dont have to abide by the do not call list so I am told. The post had my phone number after providing me with a nice offer on a subscription, but i cancelled the subscription after i reading an editorial that made me livid, then the phone calls from the post started to "renew" the subscription when i called the post they explained that newspapers can call regardless of whether you are on the do not call list or not however, they have their own do not call list so they put me on that list. no sooner that I had been put on this list then this idiot starts calling me..night and day..this is not right....
I am getting annoyed by this number too. They called twice over two days. I decided to give them a call. The number prompted that I was calling the Newspaper Call Centre, which can also be reached at 416-630-6658. I called them at that number and requested that they place my number on their do-not-call list. The kind lady over the phone said my request would be completed at the end of the business day.
I have been getting the calls around the same time every morning within 20 minutes of each call. I had a business ad running in the Sun for 1 week and have been getting the calls since from different number also...I'm probably on a telemarketing phone that calls automatically until the people on the other lines speak to you. I have no idea why Bell allows this kind of activity we pay them huge money and then they sell our information...Greed is a terrible thing...
I called 416-630-6658 and a woman also promised to put me on a DO NOT CALL list to stop calling me for the Toronto Star. Sure enough, the calls keep continuing about 6-8 calls a day from either blocked numbers or numbers that no longer identify themselves as 'newspaper call cntr' like before.I think it is a game to them because one time when I picked up the phone, a man with a distinct East Indian accent seemed to almost be laughing while he began his speech about selling me The Toronto Star while I could hear other people giggling in the background. If because I asked to put my name on their DO NOT CALL list they think they can start prank calling me now, then I will go down to their office in person and strangle Apu by his scrawny neck for his 'jokes'.Seriously, get a life and stop calling my house. Also, Toronto Star should know that I will NEVER EVER subscribe now even if you did outsource your subscriptions to this company and it is beyond your control.
