PRIVATE EYES INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES .... on the trail of the idiot caller!My family has been receiving phone calls from the same 416-630-2172 number which our caller ID states as Nwspapr Call CN. We not only received a call today, but have been receiving calls from them for the past month all day and at night up until 11:30pm!Today, I finally answered the call and found a man (I can't even say gentleman) who stated that he was calling form the Toronto SUN. Our subscription had apparently lapsed and I can renew for $1.30 or $0.85 if I renewed by credit card. I was stunned, as we just renewed our subscription with the SUN a month ago to include the Saturday paper as well as the Sunday SUN. I used a pretext on him and stated that I was not the owner of the house and could not make that decision. He then biligerantly told me to make the (a-hem) decision for the owner. He then went on to say you have a credit card don't you? ... then get it out and get the paper for cheaper.As he took another puff of his cigarette, I realized this was not a normal call centre call and said "as a private investigator I will not give out that information to any yahoo who calls!" ... he then hung up in my ear!I immediately called the Toronto Sun to ask if this was really an employee of theirs making calls like this. To my amazement it is a third party call centre they hired to renew subscriptions. They have been receiving tons of phone calls from other people who received the same call and were annoyed with the brutality of this man's telephone manner.I then asked if I could write head office and she gave me the address as follows:Toronto SunHEAD OFFICE333 King Street EastToronto, ON M5A 3X5I also pressed *57 to trace the call. Be it the fact that I am a private investigator, but I do not believe this man would be very forthcoming with giving the Toronto SUN credit numbers he has obtained! *57 traces this call and allows the Police department to look into this further.For now, I would appreciate it if anyone receives a phone call from 416-630-2172, that they email us at debbie@privateeyes.net so we can build a case against this idiot!Thank you,Debbie PeeverPresidentPrivate Eyes Investigative Services

Received a call from this number and no message was left. I called it back and the person on the other end answered with; "Good afternoon Newspaper Call Centre" so I hung up on them.

I've been receiving this call for last couple of days, early in the morning. But I called the # and requested to remove my # from their list. Positive response and hope it works.
