Eddie. You are correct. I moved two years ago to the Atlanta area. With a landline. Your new info then apparently gets published many places. I started to feel as if I had a target on my back. So, I too spent the $50.00 to buy a call blocker with the 1500 capacity. I had been up to 20 calls per day at one point. The general guidelines I would suggest is NEVER take a call if you don't recognize the caller. Via Caller ID. Also, if the caller won't leave a message it must not be important. I have had a call where caller ID is me and the # is my #. This, of course, is called spoofing. And it is, I believe, good for a $12,000 fine from the FTC. Another Caller ID showed all zeroes. I have a FAX with a dedicated ring tone. And, it has a unique number. You can do this with a single line and a single service charge. They even call that number. They would get a FAX tone only. Sort of humorous. My suggestion, folks. Get a Call Blocker. Money well spent.Tom
Number is unknown to me. Did not answer, so I let it go to vmail. As soon as my gorgeous robot assistant answered, the caller hung up.
I received a call from this number at 10:15 on Saturday morning. I’d let it go to the answering machine since I don’t answer out of area calls. The caller said hello, good morning, hello, hello good morning, good morning,,, and then hung up. After reading all these comments I’m glad I didn’t answer. I, too am on the do not call list!!!
Got a lot of calls from this number for weeks. Day and night . Finally I answered it, when I said hello they hung up.. Tired of this crap.. Say something if you're calling my house.
No kidding. That is what the caller said. This is the "Barber Poll Research Foundation". Last time it was Wilkins, not it's blocked. Done with this crap.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
