Have received several calls from them on our home business line. Since I don't recognize the number on the called ID I haven't answered and they don't leave a message. Really annoying. We need to be able to answer our work phone for potential work not harassment.
Calls frequently, never leaves a message. I have no affiliation with anyone in Washington and no icea why this number would continually be calling me. I would like for it to stop. Thank you.
They want stop calling me even when I tell them I'm not the person they're looking for!
This is excellent information. I was looking online for such a letter. After speaking with a friend who used to be in debt collection. this sounds like the best info I've read on this site regarding this matter. This is a shady racket. These companies buy "old debt" and try to bully people who don't know the law into paying. Mine is a debt that is possibly 20 years old for an amount much greater than it could have ever possibly originally been. I never received any notices and do not even recall the account but the address cited was mine in college before I turned 21. The debt has long been written off by the creditor and I am no longer required to pay it by law.
I have been receiving calls from 4255623215 at all hours of the day/night. When I call back no one answers it rings and says please call back during normal business hours, no matter the time of day. Does anyone know of a good attorney in Ft. Hood, Tx or Dallas.
I'm so tired of this number on my cell....they keep calling at all hours...day and night....it won't stop! They say a name of the company...sounds like a & r solutions, it's a recording that wants me to hold while I'm transferred. stupid!
Store the number in your phone as "don't answer" and then just let it ring. The call center probably uses computerized dialing so if there's no response after a certain number of tries it generally removes you from the list. The worst thing you can do is answer. This is likely a shady collection agency that buys bad debt that is likely also out of statute for pennies on the dollar hoping to get a sucker to pay even a percentage of what they owe. All that does is re-age your debt and then you have to wait even longer for it to fall off your credit report. Anything between 4 and 7 years, ignore it!
When they call you, get their name and mailing address. Then write them what is called a "Cease And Desist" letter telling them not to bother you again for any reason. They are then bound by law to stop harrasssing you. I watch a lot of Clark Howard.
