Verizon has its own collection agency with different kinds of phone numbers. I wish an appropriate agency investigate this company. I have a clear evidence that Verizon has no business ethics,

I know that I owe AT&T money, and I would be more than happy to pay. I answer the phone EVERY TIME they call, and it's an automated message. I follow the proper procedures when I answer and I'm either on hold for 10 minutes and no one answers or it hangs up on me!!! If I happen to miss the call, it's the same automated message, and it does not leave a number for me to call back! If they want their money, why do they make it so hard for me to give it to them?

They call my wife's cell phone to try and collect a debt that is not even our personal issue! Her cell phone just happened to be the number used to call and set up a land line with AT&T, so whenever that happened they snagged the number for their records. Now the account in question is apparently delinquent, or not even an existing business, and they keep harassing my wife's number. And when she told them these details, they insisted she tell the person responsible for the bill. What?

I've been getting phone calls from this number, along with others about a Verizon Wireless account belonging to my brother. I was not on his plan, nor was I associated with him in any way on his phone bill. I currently have my own phone with Verizon, but I am getting calls for the debt HE owes? I've called them numerous times and asked them to stop calling me and I've threatened to file harassment charges, and yet I'm getting as many as 20 phone calls a day on a bill I do not owe!

You can tell these guys when they call you at work that there are laws against bill collectors calling you at you place of work and if they don't stop you will contact the authorities and have an no contact order taken out on them. A no contact order is different than a restraining order.

They claim i owe money. Do not recall doing business with Chase Bank. I have asked for written documentation showing amount owed and reason for the claimed debt. have never received any written any documentation from them.

I also meant to add. that on most of the occassions when I do answer the phone, the caller almost immediately hangs up. And most often it goes right to a voice recording when I call back. It's so frustrating! I just want them to leave me alone!

Girl you just take care of your health and worry about your credit card bills at a later date. Don't let those companies stress you out, stress is the one thing you don't need right now. Keep up the good fight and I hope you kick cancers butt. You can only do so much and the rest will have to weight it's turn. Keep your head up. It isn't fair that the banks and the car companies can run up huge debts but us little people are hounded until we are force to declare bankruptcy or have the debts show up on our credit reports. I bet the banks don't have bad credit reports due to their debts.
