"Name unavailable" called me in Minnesota at around 8 am. Left no message. Fraudsters.

I just received a 2nd phone call from 425-668-9652 stating that my computer is generating virus and wanting me to "be in front of my computer" so they could assist...hung up on them.

I just got a call stating my Windows computer has virus threats. I said I am not interested and remove me from list and hung up. I saw news report about this where they hijack your pc if u give them the information. They will charge your card and then go phishing for info in your pc. SO BEWARE.

they just called. the accent from india was so heavy i could not understand the company name, but he told me my computer was sending him warning messages and he wants to fix it. i said, 'what about my computer?'.he told me to log on to my computer. i replied ,' sir, that is how information is stolen, i am not that stupid'. i hung up.i read the post on the first page of this from aug 2013. how sad, the lady gave her info and they changed all of her passwords.i wish technology would not allow spoofed numbers.

I'm getting the same calls, from the same number and its before 8 am...Its very annoying. This Asian guy can't even tell me what computer he's talking about. Just keeps saying you have corrupted files..Soon gonna tell this guy where to go and how to get there lol...Thanks

Caller ID = Washington #1-425-668-9652This isn't the first time I have received calls of this nature. Each time I receive them, the person on the other end has a foreign accent (India?) trying to tell me that my computer has downloaded malicious code, and they want to remedy the situation. Each time, I try to get them to identify which of the many computers and what version of Windows. They will repeat a scripted response which proves there is very little intelligence involved, like this may be a lower-level telemarketer who knows nothing other than what he is told. Each time I show ANY technical knowledge, they quickly end the call.BTW - I would NOT consider this a prank call, but there is no option for SCAM!

The caller called us @13.:29 while I was in backyard. It left no message. When I returned the call 1 hr. later, it is not in service. It has used many area code & different number to call people.

Just got a call from 425 668-9652. There was a short delay before someone spoke and lots of call center like chatter in the background. Asian sounding guy finally said his name was Justin calling from Windows to tell me they were receiving trouble reports from my computer. A very scripted type of dialogue. I just banged up on him.

Receiving calls from these guys here in Canada about 3 times a week. Apparently our 'do not call' list is not weeding them out either.
