I have gotten this call a few times saying they were from Microsoft and my Windows sent them a message about how my computer sent them a message saying it was needing repair. I asked them how they got my number and they could not tell me. Then I asked again and he cursed me on the phone...this is a scam of some kind.

They called and said they were from western union. Guess what? They claim the company has been shut down and want to refund my money. Want me to sit at my computer and fill out their form. Yeah! Not going to happen!!! Just a warning to others.

I received two calls back to back today saying my computer is having problems and sending them to Microsoft, I asked how they know anything about my computer and they would not answer right away. I hung up quickly on that call and it was only about five minutes later that the same people called back and I asked the same question but they said the messages are coming into Microsoft problem area.The accents were VERY heavy Indian and I did have a problem understanding them. Again I hung up.We will contact our bank and ask if our accounts have been compromised.Be careful out there people.

Lately I've been getting calls from this number. I answer and say "hello". There is silence and then it hangs up. I just blocked this number with my Panasonic telephone. I hate these people.

Received a call from this number; also from 435-319-0446 and 435-454-7030, about the same thing. An East Indian accent said they were calling from Microsoft. I immediately say that I'm a reporter from CBC radio (not true) and ask them if it's OK that I am recording this call, because I'm doing an investigative report on computer scams. This really confuses them, and they quickly hang up. Turnabout is fair play.

Just got a call, says my computer has a virus, I said "really"? He said most certainly and you need to let us (Microsoft) go in to your computer and we can correct it for you... for Free! I then said: Damn... that is why the damned thing keeps coughing...he hung right up! FUNNY!!!

I got a call from this outfit on my landline. Didnt answer and no msg was left. Am on the Do Not Call list too and am forever getting calls from solicitors and scammers. What good is the list if it doesnt work. It bugs me.

How do you do that, I also have a cheap Uniden cordless as well as a land line.

The problem is they don't even remember what numbers they call and they don't care, when you don't hear anyone talking when you answer it's because you are being called from an automatic dialer and it just keeps on going.

Unfortunately they "spoof" the telephone numbers the number you see on your caller ID isn't a real number so it's impossible to block. Just don't answer or when you go to be take you phone off the hook, or busy it out.
