As mentioned, this is the main corporate number for MSFT. It's also the number that appears on call waiting whenever an employee makes an outside call from their office phone. It's not product support so please don't call this - most likely you got a call from an internal group or employee.
sounds like a scam but actually is Microsoft store, their employees get depressed when you tell them it sounds scammy
This was a scam call. The fellow identified himself as "Steve" from "Microsoft Technical Support". He had a thick Indian accent and said Microsoft has gotten numerous error messages indicating my computer has a virus. He said he was there to remove the virus. Uh, sure. Obviously what he wanted to remove was money from me. Hang up on these jerks.
Hi, i can confirm that this is a Microsoft number as I had office 365 support calling me back with an issue we are facing in our firm.
