Just got a call from this number also and it was from Proactive a skin care product. I sent them a message last night and they were calling me to inquire about why I was canceling their product. This was no scam.
I got a call from this number today, July 28, 2011, at 11:41 am , but did not answer it as the number looked very strange. Now I am wishing I did , as there are so many other comments here about the number.
This company in Jackson TN is just scamming... erase. The # in mms,SMS or your received phone call....be careful not to leave a trace of caller.....can place # anywhere.
I cancelled Proactive yesterday and itās their ācancellation specialistsā that I must speak with or they cannot cancel.
This is a legitimate number from Proactiv -- I called them right away to confirm, and the lady with customer service confirmed that they called at the same time the call came in -- however I rejected the call. Plus the message (topic of the message) they left seemed incorrect. The number I have stored in my phone for Proactiv is *nothing* like this. (I did not dare call back the 444-444-4444 number; according to this website and several others, many scammers have "spoofed" the "10 fours" number in a variety of scams, some are dated back to 2004! If you get a call from "all fours" claiming to be Proactiv, Google the Customer service number and make sure it legitimately came from them. Two of their numbers are 1-800-309-4796 and 1-800-748- 9416. Better to be safe than sorry!)
