Just another computer repair scam.

Sounds like the same call everyone else is getting. He did have a thick middle eastern accent but when I was calling him out on his BS and asking for a number I could call back, he conveniently gave me a California number and told me to ask for Steve. Sorry buddy, but the first issue I have is that Microsoft Recovery Services would give me a 1-800 number and possibly an extension to get to “Steve”. Don’t fall for it, people, this is definitely a scam.

I got a phone call from this number at 6:17 pm, but I refused to answer the phone because I did not recognized the caller ID and it only said it came from the United States. I looked up the number at 800notes.com and Reported Calls.com and found out that it is a scam. There were a lot of complaints against this number and it is not registered to a specific area code number in any part of the USA even though it said United States. The complaints mentioned that the scammer claims to be from Microsoft Tech Support Services and that my computer is infected with a virus. It is a scammer faking a number that claims to be from the United States so that they could try to scam me. I reported this scam before to the National Do Not Call Registry before.

Area code 465 is an unassigned area code. Spoofed.

Came in on caller ID as Potential Fraud. Of course I'm going to answer it........NOT!!! Will be blocking this number as it has been calling pretty consistently for 2 wks. Enough is enough!!

Same scam still operating on 2/10/18!!

Same kind of information, that my computer was showing errors. When I told them I didn't have a computer and to take me off their list, the woman became agitated and threating.
