Call from 465-294-7431 on my cell phone. Said my computer was sending to their server and it needed fixed. Told me to go to www.support91.com and they would fix my computer. Heavy Indian accent. I played along until I got bored and then suggested his goat was missing him and he should go make love to his goat. He got angry and continued to insist that I needed to let him help me.
Received a call from this number today. They claimed they were with the technical department of Microsoft and that someone has been trying to hack my computer. Please don't fall for this scam! Microsoft will NOT call you for this issue. They do not monitor every computer just waiting to see if someone is trying to hack it. These people are trying to either get money from you OR get information to get access to you computer. Just... don't... do it!
They actually left msg saying my computer was doing something illegal and I could be subject to big fine. Call immediately. Microsoft license has expired. Slight hint of "over there" accent.
Called on Sunday. Claimed illegal activity from ebay has compromised my computer and if they audit my IP I will face up to 4 years in jail & $2000 fine if I do not resolve. Said I need to press 1 for a Microsoft Security representative. Funny thing I am not registered on ebay and don't have a Microsoft operating system on my computer.
This is the message I got...This is an alert call from Microsoft as your computer is being used for some illegal activity since these days you maybe the victim of potential hacker and your financial information maybe be missused if your IP address is audited you may imposed with $2000 of penalty or the imprisonment of 4 years in order to prevent this press 1 to speak to our Microsoft security officerThis is obviously a scam! Especially since I haven't owned a computer in at least 5 years.
called me at 10.30 pm .a record message. ' this is Microsoft calling, your computer is being used for illegal activity and i could be put in jail." i hung-up .
"Alex" from "Technical Support" called last night because he "receiving error messages from your computer, okay?" Really rude. I gave him some choice words and hung up. He proceeded to call back--TWICE. The first time I hung up, the next time I waiting until he said "ello?" and he got a whistle blast in his ear. Strange...he didn't call back...
