Seriously, Santander... In the last 3 months, I have paid over 2 grand on this car.. I have 1 more payment left. I called and made arrangements to take my final cost and split it into two payments; which they did. I informed that they can take the first payment out now and the other next month... which they confirmed. I begin getting phone calls the NEXT EFFIN DAY!!! Seriously??!?! Guys, yes, we know a payment is due.. yes, we know when its due.. you, calling us to remind us on an hourly basis is NOT going to get you your damn payment any faster! if anything, it will assure that NONE of the calls from Santander are answered. I CALL YOU WHEN I AM READY! Worst company ever!

on 5/25 i received a call from Unknown Caller @ 1:28pm, 2:53 pm,4:59pm,7:27pm,8:50pm and then the next day it was Drive Financial that called from their number (identified on caller ID as such) 5/26 Drive Financial called me @ 8:26am (they were running late usually they are right on at 8:am),9:18am,12:42pm,2:16pm,3:22pm,4:38pm,6:46pm7:51pm,8:00pm8:29pm on 5/27 they called @8:00am,8:29am,10:25am,10:59am12:41pm, i.c. systems called @2:07pm, Drive called again @2:44pm, 3:40pm5:26pm,6:55pm,8:30pm and today so far FAX PHOENICIA called @ 8:00am and they are due to call again soon. I think when their is a long pause between calls it's because I am on the phone with usually one of my children and they always try to call in while I'm on the phone with them also. All these names of these companies are connected to the same place Santander aka HSBC and I just wanted to show what my day consists of and what I have to put up with having my phone run off the hook all day long. Now mind you I am disabled and can't walk fast and when i get to the phone and see it is them I don't answer but I have tried speaking to them and because even though I am the wife my name is not on the car loan app just my husbands and so they won't speak to me. I have tried telling them it doesn't do any good to call during the day because he works and cannot receive calls at his work. And, even given them a time frame they are allowed to call and they are suppose to make note and abide by it but they don't and continue to call not stop usually every 1/2 hr. the calls that i get from them while on the phone w/ someone else doesn't register on my caller ID to show that they do call more times. About every 1/2 hr. 45 min. I have even had them call me from one name and # and then turn around and call me from a new name and # and then turn around and call me from yet another name and #. Like I didn't answer the 1st call what makes them think im going to answer to them on the other ones? Whatever you do don't ever go with HSBC to get a car loan. This is our 2nd time dealing with them. The 1st time we had no probs. and I actually had no probs with them but now you late on one payment or skip a payment they harrass the hell out of you.

I was receiving calls from this Santander company last year. They keep telling me that I was used as a reference for someone named Jill but I don't know anyone named Jill.Well, the calls have started back up. They don't believe me when I tell them that I don't know this person!

Thanks for the tip and information I to am going thru the same problem with this company. I am so sick and tired of the way they treat us and harrass us. It needs to stop and us as consumer's need to stand up and fight for our rights. Trust me if i could refinance and get away from this company I would. Speak of the devil they are calling right now at 9:46am, @ 8am they called under a different name.

Some are very helpful and others well..... just plain idiots with their subtle " it would slow the repossession process" threat, for one car payment??? Idiots, take the car back we're in a recession, and who is stupid enough to buy loans in this economy???

Santandar bought GEMB Lending early 2011. GEMB was relentless on MH loan I had with them, but obviously backed off after Santandar purchased them. Santandar has not contacted me via mail, but only phone calls which I do not accept. I'm not about to give them any information until I receive mail verification they have purchased GEMB or properly identifiy themselves. They have left 3 voicemail messages over past 5 months asking I contact THEM because they have new information for me regarding change from GEMB. And yes I am defaulting on loan due to economic reasons and GEMB was not willing to work with me. Santandar has made no offers and really isn't top shelf in collections. I'm guessing they just might want to right off loan or as I look at it as a mortgage since I live full time in MH.

yup, our citi financial loan was handed to santander, son ton dare, and we've fallen behind on payments.when I answer the phone, I dig on them constantly with their broken english, and when they talk so fast, you cannot even understand them. I tell them to put someone on who can speak english fluently, but they say they are speaking english, go figure.I tell them if they want the car, come and get it! God I wished they would.They called my cell # twice, then called my wife's cell twice, and I told them I would tell my attorney about it, phone has been silent for 4 days, until today, now they'll probably repeat call today and tomorrow too until I chew their butts out again. sice our credit is in the tank anyway, we may just default totally on the loan, which is at about 19%, it would be a Godsend to just give up the car and hire an attorney.anybody want to buy a 2007 jeep liberty w/44K miles on it? for $12,000. Needs tires and cleaning up or maybe detailing. has a factory bumper to bumper extened warranty w/$100.00 deductible, expires in 2014 or 2015 I believe.If anyone needs a car loan, stay away from son ton dare.

I'm a cop in N.C. and I been getting calls from these people everyday, I have told them to stop calling cause I do not owe a car loan, and if they keep calling, I will contact the ATTY GEN. IN BOTH STATES to file charges... and BBB....

SANTANDAR bought several car loan companies. They are not even an American firm, they mainain a few offices in the USA. Their policy is that they start calling about a week before you paymnet is due, then if hey do not receive it ont he due date, they call 3 to 4 times a day until they do. This includes Saturday and Sunday. They take about 7 to 10 days to process a payment you mail in, in the meantime, they keep calling. They cal from at least 10 different numbers including unknown numbers. I fixed that part, my new phone APP does not acc3ept any unknown calls. It picks upa nd hangs up without the phone ever ringing.
