Susan, I suspect you & I could get along just fine. We surely have the same view regarding unknown phone numbers.

I picked up thinking it was a political survey. "John" asked whether I voted in the last election and then for permission to call once a month for further one question surveys. I said the election would be over by then, paused, realizing something didn't feel right, and said, "no". Long awkward pause and he wished me a good evening and I him. Hope this doesn't persist.

Recorded message tries to get you to answer "did you vote in the last election? by saying yes and stating that was the only question. Getting some one to answer "yes" is a frequent phishing attempt to trick you into a credit card or something else you had no intention to apply for. What part of the "Do not call" list do they not understand?

Well said, I cant agree with you more ! Plus if you answer the phone they know that they have a "live and real phone number ".

The first time they called,The guy said "I see you are on the do not call list. That's fine, we need you to answer our electorate survey." I said what about "DO NOT CALL, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND"? I said you want information? Here it is. The DNC means,do not call this number for any reason,or under any circumstances. Then he said,it's not illegal for you to answer our survey questions. As I hung up,he quickly said, "vote for Hill... "didn't catch the rest. I wish they would come to my house,and let my PTSD go full throttle. They have called every other week since August. I have blocked 4 different numbers they use. Wish they would get arrested. So far,only the political survey scum,refuse to obey the DNC list.

Caller id was INFORMED ELECTO Call was blocked.

Caller is trying to make you think he is calling in reference to the election. He is trying to get a donation of 20.00 for his cause. Comes up informed electo.

Do not answer scammers.
