Absolutely agree with you. If the call is important, they will leave a message. If you don't recognize the number, JUST DON'T ANSWER! If I see the same number on Caller ID 2 or 3 times, I BLOCK it. Unfortunately for us, we have an older Panasonic system that allows a blocked number to ring one time and is then cut off. Even that one ring jangles nerves. We're old, retired and value our peace and quiet. And since we are older, our social calendar has many more doctor appointments than social engagements. We must pay attention to who is calling; we cannot completely ignore the ringing. At this rate, I'd be happy to go back to an old-fashioned party line of yesteryear. You could at least ask all the other party line members to answer those calls in unison and make a case or at the very least, figure out a way to equally annoy the people intruding on your privacy making these completely unsolicited and most definitely not wanted calls. cold calls. I get very few of these calls on my cell phone thank God. If we all start getting rid of our home phones, the phone company's would be forced to do something.

Phone rang at 10:40 AM yesterday morning with the Caller ID showing: "469-701-0053 Informed Electo". I remember learning about these clowns after reading postings here so I attempted to ignore the call. It kept ringing, and ringing, and ringing, and ringing, AND RINGING NONSTOP until I answered with a shout: "I AM A PISSED-OFF KLINGON and my B'athleth is READY TO DO A NUMBER ON YOU!!!" I hear a voice asking for me using my formal name that I NEVER USE! I hung up on them! It sounds like their robocalls are getting more sophisticated so everyone needs to keep their guard up.

No, she is NOT rude. My phone is for MY use, and I do NOT have to answer it if I don't want to regardless of who is calling me. If I don't want to talk to someone, that is my prerogative. I pay the phone bill, not them!

They left loud noises on my answering machine, the lowest of scumbags. The government is drone bombing the wrong terrorists, these scumbags should be at the top of the list. They deserve no mercy, it is late at night and I am a very tired old combat veteran who badly needs sleep. You need another category for calls to report these people: Harrassing calls.

total scam. They claim to be conducting a "survey", but the questions are push-poll questions, and then after a while will hit you up for money.
