I have recieved numerous calls from this number, which shows "POLITICAL CALL" on my caller ID. I finally answered it tonight and a woman led me to believe that she was with the Republican Party and asked me to support the cause by mailing a $100 donation. I told her I was not able to do that, and she instantly hung up on me. I dialed that number back and got an answering machine that said it was a Political Call Center. Regardless, I have reason to believe this is not a legitmate call or cause. Beware.

The first guy asked for $50 to fight Obama's Socialism, nothing about abortion. Then he came down to $25. When we asked them to send some information, they said they would if we would promise to send $25!!! No thanks, so they hung up. This is how you know it's a SCAM. We have received countless of these types of calls in the last year after staying in Cancun for our very last and final time. The place we stayed was full of Russians(mostly gangsters). I became suspicious they would attempt to steal our ID or credit cards, so we left early and told the Front Desk why. Well, the gangsters must have owned the damn place, because some of them followed us home on the plane! I told this to a TSA Supervisor upon arrival, and was looked at like I was crazy. I've been getting garbage calls like this one ever since. I've been on the www.donotcall.gov since day one and never had this problem before my last trip to Cancun. I'm also getting junk calls from "Card Services", as well as ones for Sweepstakes and free trips. I'm sure they're all connected in some way to the RUSSIAN GANGSTERS who obtained my # and address in Cancun.

I don't know who this is that called me.

I've been getting daily calls from this number, usually in the evening, now in the late mornings. They do not leave a message. I do not answer because I don't recognize the number and they're not in my programmed list. I also am on the national DO NOT CALL list for all the help it does.

The number comes up on my caller ID as Mesa, AZ 480-649-2753. I looked it up on switchboard.com & found out it belongs to a Judy & John Wilson. Don't know who they are. I have picked up the phone & told them not to call here again, but they don't respond & then they hang up. Still call almost every day. I'm also on the "Do Not Call" list, but that dosen't seem to matter.

Received about 10 calls from this caller ID in Feb 2010 - all saying Political Call. I refuse to answer.

This pro life group will not quit calling even thougth we have asked them not to call.

Thank goodness for Caller ID because when I see 'Political Call' displayed I simply don't answer. I don't answer anyway if I don't recognize the number. If no number is displayed I definitely don't answer. From the looks of some of the previous posts it looks like I made a good decision.

I am getting calls from 1-480-649-2753 quite often lately also, they never leave a message, if you answer, the line is quiet but appears open. No one answers my hello and they then hang up on me. I just ignore it now and since they never leave a message it is an easy fix:)

This was my phone number until 2007. I've posted replies to people who identify me as the owner of this phone number...WE HAVEN'T HAD THIS NUMBER IN YEARS. ITS A POLITICAL CALL LINE NOW. I've had my number unlisted because people have actually looked up my number in the past and have called me to complain. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS PHONE NUMBER. PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE YOU POST MY NAME WHERE IT DOESN'T BELONG!
