Haha, this one was fun. It was a call from the "Service department from Microsoft" and she claimed my computer had started downloading some malicious data. I asked her which computer and she said your main home personal computer. I asked if she had any other info on which computer and she just started reading off the script again. I ignored a few of her questions and she finally asked if I could speak. I said no like it was a question and she finally said, wonderful, why don't you go to the museum?I wish all these spam calls ended like this!

I tried that and they just switched numbers and tactics... Glad that worked for you, though!

I to am on the Do Not Call JOke list. and got this call for the first time that I know of. I do not and no longer have an answering machine on my land line. and since it is only used for fax/medical divices all the ringers are turned off so I don't get interupted by this calls. but It is hooked up to the satelight dish and it shows caller Id's on the screen when I am watching TV. only way I know they are calling, or going back thru the caller history. I do not have call blocking on my phone and is not available thru my carrier because of the discount for only using for fax only. may have to change that.

Just received a call from 482-458-9112 from Name Not Found - right after I hung up the phone from making an appointment. Picked up the phone and hung up right away. Think I will do as Forqueue suggested to check out the "pro call block" from amazon.

wow! yea after working for a tax office, I know that the IRS will NEVER call you! The only way they contact you is through a letter in the mail. wow. they sure are creative!

They told me they were with "Windows" in Boston, but there English accent sounded foreign . They wanted me to turn on my computer, they said they were with my provider and wanted to stop me from getting a virus on my PC. I mentioned identity theft several times and I mentioned calling the "FB"I also, they finally cussed at me and told me they were going to block my PC and hung up. VERY SUSPICIOUS !!!!

they called me 3 times in ten minutes just after 6 in the morning! a bunch of different numbers, too!

They tried to call me too, Google voice identified it appropriately as spam and blocked it!
