Just received a call from 500-500-5000. woman speaking very fast in Spanish. I said No Habla Espanol and she hung up......no other info....annonying.

they called and said "bueno", just like everyone else has said. I said "excuse me?" and the man rambled something off in Spanish. I immediately said "I don't speak Spanish!" in a rather harsh tone, as I do not appreciate these types of calls, and the man immediately hung up without saying sorry, or explaining himself in English. My guess is this is a scam.

Have called twice (evening and morning of subsequent days). ID is PERSONALCOMMSER.

10 calls over a 30 day period.I speak Spanish as a second language.My current phone number previously belonged to a hispanic-surnamed male: Morales, so I get a lot of his calls even though I'm on the Do Not Call List.If you answer the phone in Spanish you'll get a pitch for a phone minutes card to call your family and friends in whatever Latin American country you come from. The callers also speak English, so it's probably a U. S. based company.If you don't want them to call back, answer the phone with the word "bueno." Then after they ask the first question, which is to validate the hispanic name they have for your number, quickly say "Take this number off your list," and hang up.

I have received a few calls from the 500-500-5000 number and yes, it was a spanish woman. The last time I got a call from that number, I answered with Ahlow, ahlow. The woman asked if I could hear her. I said, si, si then just made up some words and repeated them a couple times then paused. She asked me who I was and I answered again with whatever came to mind as words then said si. She was quite for a moment then in English said my street address. I responded with new, new then said in a German sounding voice Einsp, sply, sply endorva, then another German sounding word then paused. This went on a bit more until she finally hung up on me.

received these calls twice this year, one just this week (03-26-08) They speak really fast and in a foreign language. It was a woman and she kept blabbering to me the finally hung up.

they called this morrning and talking really fast in spanish. i kept telling them i can't speak spanish or my husband even though we have a spanish name. i fiannlly hung up caller ID said special acce xx have no idea what the hell is going on 500-500-5000

Have gotten several of these, with hangups. Most recently I said "hello" and waited, and after about 4 seconds of silence, a computer voice said loudly and "rudely': Good-BYE.This should qualify as harrassment at this point, or discrimination if they are hanging up on everyone who doesn't speak Spanish. Any business that does not do good business, is bad for America. This practice is bad business, and abuse of the telephone. It is tantamount to knocking on someones door and disappearing. I do not know if they are violating 'do not call' laws federally and of the state of Indiana, since I am not on it, and no one has mentioned it here. I wish I knew which telephone co. to complain to, since with this many and varied complaint, there should be some mechanism by which these complaints can be substantiated and then the number revoked, and the business flagged to other companies for unethical practices and use of the telephone.

500-500-5000 have been appearing on my caller i.d. for a while now. Today I stood home from work and received yet another one, it showed up as a "Personal Call". I answered and there was a Spanish speaking person on the other end. The calls do not come through very clear, they almost sound as if they are overseas. They claim to be a representative from the phone company. ANd it appears as if they are trying to sell a number of things, anything from phone service to cable dishes. I did not get an answer when I pushed to know the company they represent. I instructed them to take me off their calling list and to stop all future calls. They stated that their supervisor would come to the phone, another person came said a few words that I did not understand and then hung up on me. when checking messages, though, there is just a hang-up at that call time. this number has shown on my caller i.d. several times over the past month but a mssg is never left (not been there to take call).searching this reappearing number is how i found this site tonight. i was hoping to find out who it is!Let's find out who it is!

It's not strange at all, if you don't shred your phone bills before tossing them out. All your personal info is listed right there. Shred ALL correspondence before disposing of it, or burn.
