These people will call 4-6 times a day and they are the rudest! They keep asking for my husband and he does not have a citicard or a credit card in general. Has these calls just stopped all together? I am really getting mad.
Actually, people, these guys gave mortgages to people they should not have, because gubment regs changed and the gubment (thank Pres. Billy boy) told them they HAD too. Political correctness is seldom correct. That doesn't change the fact they are using illegal collection practices....they have no problem violating the law when it comes to collecting, but refused to when it came to doling it out. How frickin backwards are these people?
Wasn't home but the caller ID feature on my phone listed this same number. When I tried to call back, my telephone company said this number couldn't be dialed (I used the 1 before the area code) and said to check the number and try the call again. If it was about a Sears card, I've already spoken with a representative about my situation and she told me to call another number that handles financial arrangements with payments. As with these other harassed callers, I'd like to see someone come up with a petition to sign against harassing credit holders. Even if they owe on their credit card, that doesn't give them the right to call anytime they feel like it or harass the consumer. If anyone's interested in starting a petition, please let me know. HARASSED, TINA
I am 10 days late due to unforeseen circumstances - have always paid on time, this is for my Sears card. I called Sears main number to complain since you can't call this number back. He said this is an automated dialing system, it does not leave messages. He tried to give me the excuse that they have millions of accounts and they only leave messages on the very severe late pays. I would think that they could give you 30 days grace before they start calling your home over and over again. I said that I thought Sears was a large enough corporation as well as Citicard to be able to handle leaving messages. Besides that, when I signed up for the card I was promised a $10 credit and then didn't even get it - such crooks. As soon as this is paid off - I guess it's another card I won't use again.
These people called Sat., early Sunday morning and again late Sunday evening. They wanted to speak to my son who had not lived at home in 5 yrs. They would not discuss it with me and I told them that since he had not been at home in that length of time that it could not be that important and I wasn't even going to tell him that they had called. END OF DISCUSSION
