These nuisances call me over and over every day between 8 am and 9 pm. They call also from 502-522-9998. It's about missing a deadline in making a payment. What annoys me is that I told them I will fully co-operate in paying every cent I owe and that they are making more money anyway because of LATE FEES AND HIGHER INTEREST RATES. The longer I take to pay the balance the more I owe and the MORE they are going to make. I'd like to pay it all back as soon as possible but it will take me a while because I get paid big sums of money after completing projects. I know I will pay off the full balance but they seem to think they should keep calling me several times each day. I'm not going to answer any more of their calls because it is embarrassing to be at work and keep getting these kinds of calls when I can not speak in private. Once I pay it all off, NO MORE Credit cards unless the limit is very small where I can pay it every month. I will NEVER do business with CITIgroup/CITIbank/CITIcorp ever ever ever again. They can SCREW themselves. But I will pay them back the whole balance, interest, late fees and all. They are so rich and yet they have to be pains in the #%$$$es about it????!!!!!!
Received a call from this number at 7:48 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. Wanted to speak with my son or his spouse. They were told they were not here and could we take a message. They would not leave a message. Had also received a call earlier that day 4:08 p.m. from 502-522-9998 -- Citigroup. Did not leave a message They have also started calling this morning Sept. 17 at 8:45 am. When the phone was answered, they hung the phone up. What do these people want? If they call again they need to let whoever answers the phone know what they want. If the answering machine answers, they need to leave a message as to what they want.
keep getting calls at all hours with no messages left on answering machine. I cannot call them back as I have limited long distance to my area code only. Can someone tell me what is going on?
Hl everyone. Citibank is calling because they are borrowing from well intentioned Credit Card Couselors. The advice given is to pay off your highest rate card first. Well citi is now your highest rate and the calls are intended to give the final push if you are on the fence. Before any counselors might object, just think - not everyone can consolidate because of bad credit reports. Citi seems more than happy to push you into a corner.
I'm getting calls from this number and a similar number today. I am late on my Sears Card payment (but it's only ONE payment) and I don't want to answer because I've read stuff about scammers related to this phone number, so I'm just going to try to ignore it for now. If it is Citibank, then why aren't they calling from an 800 number where I can call them back and talk to someone about it, I don't trust some random area code number that's probably some kid in his basement trying to steal my identity. Also, calling me repeatedly over and over again is harassment, and I'm sure it's a violation of the Fair Debt act.
DO NOT GIVE THIS # ANY PERSONAL INFO. I just spoke with the KY Attorney Generals office and they confimed that this is NOT a collector for Sears or any other cc company. They are spoofing the caller ID and they are not even calling from KY - they are overseas. This is a federal investigation currently, do not give them any bank info. If Sears or Citi or any other creditor is looking for money, they will call you from their 800 numbers!!!!!!
I know that Citi group and Citi University are apparently associated with Sears - but once you pay the bill, shouldn't they stop making these phone calls? I was behind by $12.03, paid it last week and the calls are still coming.
I m doing the same thing too. paying bills on time for years and then all of a sudden, I get a bill for almost 220.00 in interest. I stopped paying them, cant afford it, but im saving money to do a settlement agreement with them. Let me know how its works out for you. I know some sites that have great settlement agreement letters.
Same here, only when I identified myself they were no longer on the line and when I tried to call them back I got a recording that "the number I have dialed is not valid"! What gives with that?
