Got multiple calls throughout the day for the past couple of days from this number and have hung up every time as soon as I hear the recording. Looked on here and am glad I did because I do have accounts w/ Wells Fargo, and they are overdrafted. Would never have given my social or any other info but good to know it's a scam. Thinking about answering call and giving fake information to stop em.

Even if this number belonged to Wells Fargo, they wouldn't use it anymore after they saw all the confusion and anger on this blog.

This is not Wells Fargo....Caught them with a quick question to throw em off...Whats ur customer service I.d. #.....they didnt kno what i was talkn bout first then threw a random number...You give your social and u will b a victim of identity theft idiots...#that is all.

I get many calls from them starting at 0800 and some after 2100 my time which is 1900 there's it's sooo annoying

Yeah, all old accts are closed. Infact going thru BK. So illegal for them to call us. Hate seeing wells fargo pop up on our p hs. Asinine. Will never do business with that company again. Thanks for sharing our personal information Wells Fargo!

I just received a call from this number and called Wells Fargo immediately. I was informed that this # was indeed NOT one of their phone #s. I was asked to e-mail reportphish@wellsfargo.com to notify them of the scam.

Calls for the past month. There seems to be a pattern. Two, three days with many calls, then a week or so without calls. It's getting old and quite annoying. The calls are immediately disconnected upon answering, and when I return the call a pre-recorded message is played stating that you have reached Wells Fargo Bank, overdraft department. A real person then comes on and asks for account number and social security number.THEY ARE NOT WELLS FARGO.I've called Wells Fargo regarding the number and they disavow any affiliation with the number in question.Identity thieves?Collection agency?Whoever they are, they stick to their story of representing Wells Fargo.If ANYONE can find out who they really are, I'd love to know so I could file a suit against them for all they're worth.

called my cell phone at 9:27 CDT. 503 area code....not gonna answer. They did not leave message.

The last few days, we've been receiving phone calls from this phone number.The caller ID shows 'Wells Fargo Bank'.My husband answered the phone and the caller on the other end asked for his account numberas well as his social security number.My husband asked him what it was in reference to?They hung up.This has been going on for over a week now.I called Well's Fargo customer service and they assured me that the above number is not one of theirsand that would I please send this email explaining what happened to this email address...reportphish@wellsfargo.com
