This is Wells Fargo Overdraft. I got several calls from them and yes I do have an account in overdraft with them. I did call them and give my info and made arrangements for it to be paid. After reading info here I because worried and called the 866 number and asked to be transferred to the overdraft department. With out me saying anything the person verified that I had made arrangements earlier today. I spoke to them about my concerns and he did verify that they are in Beaverton Or and that is their number. Also when I called the 503 number they knew exactly how much my overdraft was. It is legit. if you are worried then call the Wells Fargo main number and not the 503 number.
Well I called back and when they traced my cell phone number that they were calling they asked if I knew a person's name then I remembered I had collection calls for the same name on this phone when I first got the number. So the number is a wells fargo overdraft dept but they could be looking for a different person. It's best either to give them your number they keep calling in case it's a different person so they can take your number off the call list or block the call. Since it's a legitimate company and they are trying to close an acct. they will keep calling.
I don't understand why half of all the posters on this site are insisting this number is not legit - I an self-employeed / unemployeed with no regular income and have overdrafts at Wells Fargo often - they only start calling when my account has been overdrawn for over 2 weeks and the calls stop when I put money in to cover the overdraft. In between overdrafts I forget this number and then when I am overdrawn again the calls begin again - I look up the number and find this website. This time I have just labeled the number Wells Fargo in my phone so I will know in the future.
I believe this is W.F. but their collection practices are shady. I'm currently unemployed so we are struggling right now. We have had overdrafts on our account and have been late on house payments. Both my wife's and my name is on our bank accounts and home loans but for some reason she is the only that receives calls. I can't believe they are allowed to call on the weekends, especially Sunday's. They have even come to our house and put a "hand written" note on our door saying to call W.F. home mortgage. Who the he@# does that? What kind of company especially being that big puts a hand written note on a customers door? You would think they would mail a letter or use some kind of professional template to whoever they contract that job out too. I complained when I called and they said they would look into it, of course.
They called my cellphone repeatedly for 3 straight days. I finally decided to call them at their game believing it was a scam. I guess it still could be, but I told the lady that I did not have a Wells Fargo acct so why were they calling me and she said it is the overdraft dept and asked if I could give her the phone number that I was receiving the calls fromand she would cross reference it and when I did she asked if I knew a person by the name #$%^^&& and it was strange because I had gotten several collection calls for this same name when I got this new phone number. So - I don't know what to tell you - they were correct in who they were calling for but I suppose it could still be a scam.
Keep getting calls from this number. I've never done business with wells fargo nor owe anyone anything. They are calling on my cell phone that only two people had the number. So I wonder if tracfone sells numbers.
I recently began receiving these calls on my cell phone but ignored them due to getting a lot of telemarketing calls from the Western part of the U.S. After searching the number online, found out from this site it is supposedly Wells Fargo. My husband and I have accounts and a mortgage with them, but, none are late or overdrawn. The weird thing is, I do not have my cell phone listed on any applications with them and my husband never gets calls from them and is the main applicant on all of our accounts. I would think that if we were late or overdrafted on an account we would have received something in writing before we received any phone calls. Which, we haven't. Has anyone who is verifying this is Wells Fargo received any sort of notice by mail? Just wondering.
