Apparently, I've blocked this number before (because my phone won't let me do it again) and it still got through. By pressing 1 or 2 or whatever to speak to someone, you are proving that it is a valid number. I've stopped answering almost all calls (which I hate to do, but I have voice mail for a reason) and the calls *knock on wood* have slowed dramatically. I saw somewhere that a computer just guesses numbers, and there's no way to actually take your number off the list because they don't actually track what numbers they call.

Why is not the Phone companys and FCC with FBI going after these Criminals . This would be a Prossecuting attorneys Dream to Nail these people and take there computors and throw them in jail . How many elderly or unsuspecting have been taken to the cleaners. This is not just a Prank call.

Received automated message, offering credit card rate. Reported it to no-call federal registry. Let's all see how long it takes the feds to shut them down! Let's pray for deliverance from these crooks!

I just received a call also but decided to look the # up. There are several companies out there doing this very same thing. I so appreciate all of you taking time to respond. It really does help. Our country is in bad trouble because of people like this and was not founded on policies such as these. Is there any body out there that cares besides the victims???

the FBI, the real ones just did a report on these animals. it is very important that you report to the do not call complaint line, every time. that's how we close them down.

Last month someone said to hit the owner of these numbers in their pocket book, take the call when the phone rings, but when the connection is made, disconnect it, the phone company will charge the phone owner for a completed call. I have done this on one of the phone numbers, they changed their number of rings to 2 from 3. Then stayed alert for the ring, and would take the call within 2 rings, they stopped. If we all do this all the time, their bank account will dry up.

Why are they calling you if your numbers on the Do Not Call Registry? Hello! Because they're criminals! Violating the Do Not Call Registry is the least of the crimes they are committing. Those of us who have put our number on the Do Not Call list will be receiving many more of these unwanted calls in the coming years as criminals in foreign countries take advantage of the fact that they can call you from anywhere in the world for negligable cost.

I hate these calls, I am on the DNC list and it does not work...I get unwanted calls every day from some idiot. I just quit answering any number that I don't recognize..
