Just hold down the # button until they hang up or 30 seconds if you're not sure. It will remove you from automated calling lists and a live person will think they got a bad number (or fax number) and remove it from their list. Doesn't mean someone else won't call.They don't buy phone numbers. They call numbers at random, or just numbers in order.
What kind of jail time will I get for smashing one of these creeps in the mouth? If I can find a near by address. This one is in Calif, with all the utter freaks and pin heads! I had a call at 8am on my CELL PHONE! I only gave that number to a dozen friends and family! I'm careful who I call with it. But these bottom feeding leeches must be going donn a list with Rebot calling. Don't pick it up. And for thise live idiots needing a real job, the second time they call, blast their frigging ear with a whistle or hand horn. The calls will stop! No Call List? FORGETTABOUTIT! A fellow suffer got it right when he said: and we want to leave our health up to the government? They can't stop phone calls, can't find sick cows or Osama for 10 years. Take it into your own hands!
My husband called me at work to ask me to give him the credit card number so he could lower our rate. I said (no way) not until I google the number. Ok, now I see there are 8 pages of complaint. I have gotten to the point I don't trust any calls that come in from telemarketers. Thank goodness I have power of Attorney over my husband. He has been in more scams than you can shake a stick at.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
