Caller (number shown as coming from LOCAL) hung up w/o leaving VM. I have stopped answering calls from unknown numbers, but some still slip thru and/or leave VM. Most annoying almost daily, sometimes a few times in same day, calls regarding charge accounts. "Nothing to worry about, but we can help reduce your finance charges," is the general message. Being on "DO NOT CALL LIST" is worthless! These are some of the things I've tried, but to no avail: I've threatened to file complaint with FCC (Do Not Call List). Does no good. They just call again. I pick up, activate robo message and immediately hang up. I once let robo direct me to live voice. When he/she answered, I told them someone was at the door, asked them to hold. I went about my business, the live telemarketer waiting, UNTIL they finally got tired and they HUNG UP! A personal moment of revenge!I think the real solution is to make phone companies stop SELLING our phone number LISTS to theseannoying callers. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we could do this as a group of phone company customers (for different phone companies providing services for different groups of customers)? (Believe this was a telemarketer call.)

512-298-3982 This number called today at 6:20. I am not answering phone calls that do not have a name ... Local means absolutely nothing to me. As one of the commenters said above, if they don't leave a message then it must not be important. I am so sick of these calls ... Every day there are several that don't leave a message. This is a new one.There are also those who use your own number as an ID. Wish there was a way to stop them.

Caller ID says local call but it is not in our area code. Scammer. No message left and we don't answer these calls. Anyway, called twice in a few minutes. This is our fifth scammer call of the day. Annoying!

My area code is 706 At 6:55 pm I received a from 1-512-298-3932; my caller ID said LOCAL. I didn't answer and am now going to report it to the Do Not Call List where I registered when it first became available. I'm getting so many of this type of call I'm beginning to wonder if anyone's 'minding the store' at the DNCL. At the time the law came out it was the only thing both parties could agree to pass.

I got a call from 512-298-3982 at 4:34 pm on April 30, 2015. I was not home and the caller did not leave a message. My caller ID said "Local." I have been on the Do Not Call list for ten years. I hope my Telezapper got them so they don't call back.
