Called @2:46PM PDT on 5May2015 (Cinco de Mayo). Left no message. CID=Local. A/C 512 is about a 1000 miles from where I live so there is no way it is Local, although in this age of Political Correctness, Redefinitions & Moral Relativism anything is possible I suppose!

It may the tones of a fax machine trying to send a spam fax to you. They have monotonous beeps which continue until the fax machine finally gives up.

Our VoIP service is set up so that any call not in our phone book's 'white list' is instructed by a recording to press a digit to complete the call. Since the vast majority of pest callers use robodialers that can't comprehend voice instructions, they are blocked.However, the call shows up in our logs so we can either have the phone number blocked with a 'number not in service' message - or added to our white list of friends and legitimate callers like doctor offices, banks.I check the logs periodically to update the blocking and add legitimate callers to our white list.So far, only two pest calls out of over 240 call attempts have made it through our system. The rest were stopped before the phone ever rang.

Caller left message, robocall for an auto repair gimmick, and for signing on, you get 20% off.

Another call from these pests. Thank goodness for call blocking. Aggravating morons, the lot of them.
