Seriously Apple? Was this necessary? Because my purchase was large, you need me to verify my purchase? Except... the number I entered was done when I did the purchase. So they would have called whatever number a scammer would potentially put in. How does this exactly protect anyone?
It Is Apple. I think most have already established that. Also it is the Apple based in Texas. Question is, what is with the odd behavior in many of these calls? I ordered an iphone a couple months back. The order went through. I received an email from Apple stating that they are stopping it. I called my bank, they said it's not them its Apple. I said how is this possible. I can spend my own money correct? I called them. She said it's because I didn't put my entire credit card name and to do it again. I did and she said everything is now fine. Next day I receive another email rejecting the purchase! I cancelled the purchase and went to the store to buy it. Yesterday I purchased a computer. I received calls from this number yet again even though it went through . . If this is legit, which it obviously is, someone needs to monitor these people, because they are not conducting this thing properly. Fraud alert has standards. If your own bank isn't alerting you (meaning all details etc. match) then why is Apple getting in the way every time a product is purchased?
Received two calls from this number saying it was Apple calling about an order I didn't make. I think someone is spoofing the number as I did check my credit card account and don't see any charges from them
Are you people for real. This is a scam , probably within Apple? I do own products and someone did order $4000.00 in two compact computers but it was Not me. The order number was given and even the address of the city it was to be shipped to. The police sent a car to that address to investigate. While at the police station I received another call from Tampa regarding a mop purchase which I did NOT make .get with it people they are scamming you! Open your eyes . When the police detective asked to speak to the guy on the phone, identified himself.... They hung up. All I can say is monitor your cc cards.
Got a call from this number yesterday 2/22/15 at 5:50pm. A voicemail was left so I thought it must be legit and checked it. For about 5 minutes someone blows into the phone as long as they could and takes another breath and starts blowing again. If they are legit, they have a pervert or just a plain a-hole on staff. I say scammers, but how did they get all of these other responders on this site information? Scary!
Apparently to confirm a order never placed. But had our info but would not give U.S. Mailing address
