I keep getting calls on my cell phone, but they don't leave messages. Most of you are saying that they are with Macys...I haven't had an account with Macys for over ten years, and if I remember correctly, I purchased one item, paid it off immediately, and never used the card again. And if I remember correctly, I didn't even have my cell phone, or at least this specific phone number when I had my Macys card. Being that I don't give my cell number to many people, I don't answer it unless its someone I know, so they are just sh*t out of luck with me.
They are calling me up to a dozen x's/day. If they won't leave a msg on my voicemail, I don't answer. Likewise, as someone else said, I don't give out my personal info to an incoming call. Also am current on all bills.
This number been calling me from weeks I just don't answer. I didn't try to call back because I used this 800notes info. I have an account in Macy's and I forgot to pay because of Thanksgiving holiday. I paid as soon as I remember.
Phishing, Social Engineering, Fraud, Identity Theft, etc. Do Not Feed The Troll - Don't answer, Don't call back. Don't call your local police, they can't investigate beyond their borders. Don't call the police in Mason, OH, they can't investigate crimes outside Mason, OH. Don't call the FBI wire fraud or cybercrime units, they're busy with crimes that affect the country on a wholesale basis, this is retail. DO Use the "Do Not Call" list complaint mechanisms. This allows your telco to cut off their sock puppet CLEC that let's them place all these calls for nothing.
I have been receiving at least five calls per day, starting at 8:30 am and ending around 9 pm. Mostly no one on the line when I answered ... but finally got someone. I was told that my Macys account payment had not been made (it had). When I said I had paid, he went off to speak to his "supervisor" and came back on the line indicating that in fact they had my cheque, the cheque number and date of cheque. However, he said that I hadn't "initialled the date" so they were sending the cheque back. He wanted me to send another payment! I said that until such time as the cheque has been returned I will not be paying anything more. The cheque has never surfaced.... and these harassing call continue! I have prepared a letter to Macys with a cease and desist order and cancelling my account. Terrible customer service ... I will never deal with them again. Copies of the letter will go to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureaus.
got a call, they didn't leave a msg. i called back, asked them who they were. they asked me if i had a Macy's account, to which i replied "you're the one that called me, so....you tell me. and why do you guys not leave a message?"and he said "for security purposes, if there is no answer, we do not leave a message. can you please provide your information so that i can look up your account?"and i said "i do have an account with mace's, which i promptly take care of online. there is no need for you to call about any past due payments"and again he said "i understand. but i can only help you if you provide your information so that i can look up your account." and then i hung up. nope. leave me alone!
This number has been calling my cell continuously for 2 weeks. When I did answer they said they were from Macy's and to please hold...held for awhile to give them a piece of my mind when they came back on...but an automated system came back on and told me that they would call me back at another time! OMG! Have had enough
