almost like a fax machine kinda beep, but not as deafening, machine or when i awnser it... its getting really old

fax tones. 866# doesn't work.irritating as [***]. First "unknown #" - answered, fax. 5 minutes later, this # ... fax. What a pita.

called home line, i answered and it was a fax, noone answered

Unassigned Canadian # telemarketers fake their caller ID to sell various products/Services & surveys. they also use 514-958-0001

My elderly parents are constantly getting calls all hours of the day and night from this number. Mom finally *69 to find out it was this number. I've told her she should probably change her phone number since this has been happening for a year now, but they don't want to. I wish I had an answer! No one should have to deal with night time calls with the fax beep beep everytime they answer it!

Over the last month or so have had repeated calls from 514-958-0000, emitting what sounds like a fax tone. First call shows caller id as "Test Code PQ" with the number above. Usually followed by 2 more calls with fax tones, showing "unavailable" caller id and no number displayed. Fortunately these calls are not occuring at odd hours so far - usually around noon central daylight time. Since blocking is free with my phone service, I have now blocked this number. We'll see if that works!

As per Audrey's message (25th Sept 2007):I called the number she provided (1-866-288-3608) and was provided with a means of removing one's telephone number from the call list.All should do this...Thanks Audrey!
