Living in Chicago area, just got the call, didn't answer and now I'm glad I didn't after seeing all this. They seem to have targeted our area lately, although I don't have Allstate and haven't signed up for anything lately.
I just got a call from them today, missed it, didnt know who it was and tried to call back. had no idea who it was. dont calllback its a scam
Must be a phishing scam. They say they are from "Cardmember services" but not from a specific card. Your real credit card company would never do that. Also, to the makers of this site, please add Phishing Scam to your dop down menu. It's a disservice to your users to not have it. Thanks. Telemarketers are annoying. Phishers are identity thieves.
Same thing with me. Right after she asked me if I wanted to lower mu interest rates, I asked on what. She said on all my credit cards. I said I don't have any credit cards and she hung up. Seems fishy.
Automated machine claiming to be "Cardholder Services" telling me about potentially lowering the interest rate on my credit card--(didn't say which one.) I was suspicious so I googled the number and sure enough--it's a scam!
Got a call from this number ... asked me to press 1 and i did ... then it got disconnected .. hope they do not access my credit info
I answered. An automated system asked if I wanted to lower interest rates, and this would be my final notice as the opportunity is about to expire. I then pressed 1 and talked to possibly a real person, still not sure. She asked if I wanted to lower my interest rates. I said on what. She said on all my credit cards. I said I don't have any credit cards and before I could finish that sentence she hung up. I read some of your responses, and I too am an Allstate customer.
