March 9, 2009 3:27 am I recieved a call at my work place with the correct name but wrong last name. I am of a different ethnicity so if they have a wrong last name why would I correct them. It's a totally different last name then mine. The first letter of the last name was not even close at all. Now they want to talk to the supervisor. What the F**K.... What does this have to do with my supervisor. First of all. I have no freak loans or debit that I have not paid. I have been update with all bills. So where the heck did they get my freak work number and want to even talk to my supervisor. Who the heck are these people. Not to mention very rude.
Received a call two days in a row. Said they want to get in touch with someone and they didn't want to disturb the person while they were at work. they asked for the person's home phone number. I told them to leave their number and I will have the person call them. They gave a 1-800 number.
Robo calls such as the one from (541) 955-7800 are easy to handle; if you have Comcast Voice use the call screening function until full, then obtain a Google Voice number and use the Comcast Voice call forwarding function to send the call to the Google Voice number where you can block unlimited calls, lol, I sleep well and don't worry about bottomfeeding scum.
Advice ! report this to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website (file complaint ) make sure you give the number they called from and what was said . you have rights . dont give the caller personal info. collectors sometimes break the law if they are legit.
They called my business and told me I have an outstanding student loan from 2007. I have been employed full time since 1985 and have not had a student loan. They would not give me any information pertaining to the account. They said I needed to provide them with my information i.e. ss#, address, phone # and a receipt of my payoff. I said I wouldn't give out my info to them & I told them I never had a student loan. They keep calling everyday. Is this a SCAM? Report them!
I called the number back to see who they were, and I get "Kelly" who wants my social number in order to help me. Then she wants my cell number. I din't give her either one. If I owe something then it should be able to be found under my name. She was not willing to look anything up by name and became very rude when I refused to give her any numbers. By the way I have never had any student loans and my kids are still in high school. They need customer service training, and a valid listing.
We received a phone call yesterday,May 12. out of the blue. Firstly we don't have any debts. However it wasn't about that. Apparently my name was given to them as a reference to a lady we have never heard of. BRAD MADISON was the caller and was not able to tell us what kind of business he was in, said only, he's on the west coast !!! He then said he had phoned our house and received my cell phone number from my husband on a certain day. The day and time he mentioned nobody was in the house and my husband would never give my cellphone number to anybody! Very weird. I think they are trying to do other business than collections. What, we have no idea, but we have recorded the call.Be careful, there's something very wrong here. It's about personal info.
my partner was at home this morning and recived a call from this number, letting us know that they were trying to reach our neighbor, Mr. Nut [who? seriously? maybe ... Mr. P. Nut? HAH!] and asking us if we could knock on his door, since his phone seems to have become disconnected. Um, we don't know you, we don't him and don't how you got this number. So shag off, you abusive blood-sucking bottom-feeders. WE don't owe you anything - money, information, or the time it takes to talk to you on the phone - so quit harassing us!
