I got the same character. Said he was Issac Harrison, an Indian accent, same story, from the US Government, HHS department with a $9000 grant. Gave me an employee ID 43879Z. Like that's really!When I asked for a call back number so that I could report him to the US fraud unit...he hung up.Do you really think this will work?
They just called me. I answered but didn't say anything. Listened for about 5 seconds, heard a chime, then a robot voice said goodbye.
Change all your passwords if you get called from here, he managed to get into an old Microsoft account I was using before lastpass.
This person claimed to be from Microsoft and they needed access to my computer. Fuzzy connection with a thick middle eastern accent.
got this call today...i'm in line for $8500 from gov't grant dept that I don't have to pay back. i asked if they had my address,he said yes, I said mail the check. he cussed me out and hung up!
Man with a strong accent called offering me money from the government, I said this is a scam and he got very angry, I hung up
I am fascinated by this thread because I received two calls from his number, neither of which I answered. The moment someone makes an unsolicited call, I immediately go into the defensive mode. I mean, really, how many people have received a large grant from the government without having to apply for it repeatedly, only to be denied???I am not faulting the people on this post....but the adage always hold true is "If it's good to be true, it most certainly isn't" Be careful out there... the scammers are running rampant and are making an astounding amount of money! I live in Michigan, got a call and text from this number saying to shelter in place. Said there is an active incident and don’t answer doors unless it’s law enforcement officer. Said we’d receive another message when issue resolved.
left voice mail with 2 phone numbers on was 240-374-4607 and the other 877 (garbled)
Called 240 number and it said it was a debt collection agency and call would be recorded

From the QUITLINE - can be any state - PA for me - I followed their program to quit smoking and this was a follow up survey - NOT SPAM - The service was helpful and the survey harmless.
Got 2 calls from this number stating that it is a colect call from an inmate. We don' t know anyone who is an inmate anywhere.

This number keeps calling me. The message they leave is like a clicking sound. No one speaks. Very odd. I’m blocking this number
this is a campain office number they are a pain cause we keep saying to remove our number from their file

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
