I got the same character. Said he was Issac Harrison, an Indian accent, same story, from the US Government, HHS department with a $9000 grant. Gave me an employee ID 43879Z. Like that's really!When I asked for a call back number so that I could report him to the US fraud unit...he hung up.Do you really think this will work?

They just called me. I answered but didn't say anything. Listened for about 5 seconds, heard a chime, then a robot voice said goodbye.

Change all your passwords if you get called from here, he managed to get into an old Microsoft account I was using before lastpass.

This person claimed to be from Microsoft and they needed access to my computer. Fuzzy connection with a thick middle eastern accent.

got this call today...i'm in line for $8500 from gov't grant dept that I don't have to pay back. i asked if they had my address,he said yes, I said mail the check. he cussed me out and hung up!

Man with a strong accent called offering me money from the government, I said this is a scam and he got very angry, I hung up

I am fascinated by this thread because I received two calls from his number, neither of which I answered. The moment someone makes an unsolicited call, I immediately go into the defensive mode. I mean, really, how many people have received a large grant from the government without having to apply for it repeatedly, only to be denied???I am not faulting the people on this post....but the adage always hold true is "If it's good to be true, it most certainly isn't" Be careful out there... the scammers are running rampant and are making an astounding amount of money! Said i was getting a gov grant for $9000. Probably raising money for terrorists.
