I received a call from this number yesterday doing lunch. Nevertheless, I always Google unfamiliar numbers before answering or calling back. Thanks for all the info on this scam.
Same guy called and when I told him that the area code he was calling from was not in DC he "choked"..told him that I am on a do not call list and that I would report the call.
A man with an Indian accent told me I have a grant from the US Government. I told him not to call my phone to scam me again. He kept talking over me. LOL
Same guy just called me, Inidian/Bengali accent. U.S. Government blah blah blah, I said, no you're not, hold on, I want to play with this, and he hung up. I bet I just bought a car in India. I did just update a resume in Monster and on Indeed, I wonder if that is the open source doc they are using for numbers?
