this number called me on my cell phone saying they could lower my interest rates on my cresit cards if my total owed was 4500 or more. I asked many times if they were through a bank and the subject would get changed. Once the call was over i called back and it said the number was out of service or disconnected.
I just got a call from this number and when I tried to call it back it was disconnected
While out, got a call with no message but new number on caller ID, so called back, number had been disconnected.
Automated call with recorded message telling me it was about my credit card account, and to call call back right away to get a lower interest rate put on the account. It sounded like a scam to me. No legit credit card company would make this type of call.
I just got a call on my cell phone with the country code 011-561-482-7092. I didn't answer and they left no message. very annoying!
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. The recording said "we are calling about your credit card account, there is no problem with your account but we may be able to lower your interst rate. If intersted, Press 1" so I did, just to see who it was. I only have one credit card, $300 limit, with ZERO balance. I pressed one and was routed to "RICHARD" and asked him the name of the company he was calling from and he wouldn't tell me and he said I'm not calling about one credit card in particular I am calling to lower your interest on all of your cards, it's not to transfer balances or anything like that. I said that I don't currently have a balance on my credit card and he slammed the phone down in my ear. Ohhh boy if I could find out where Richard is I'd give him a call back and . . . . well, I better not say . . . but that S&^# pisses me off when they call me for something and I actually talk to them then the phone slams in my ear. I'm heated!! If you know how to actually contact any persons at the company, please email me at secritsqrl@aol.com. I would like to file a formal complaint. Thanks
SAME THING (!!!) happened to me today, April 9, at 10:30 am. and then when i spoke to the person, i said that i have a ford escape. and then i asked who he was, and he said that they were from 'ford america,' and were calling b/c my warranty just expired and they handle all of ford's warranty coverages. they asked how many miles were on my car, and i told them 36,000--and they said that's when ford escapes' warranties expire. they then went in to talking about payment plans, and then asked what kind of credit card i would like to put it in. i told him i was not sure and if i could have his number to call back if i was interested. he said that they do not give out numbers because too many people try to get coverage on old vehicles...he basically kept on pressuring me, saying that i did not respond to any of their postcard mailings, it was now or never. i told him i had moved, and i never received them. he eventually hung up on me. the whole thing shook me up-- b/c of course i want my car to be protected, but i did not trust him. at the same time, i wondered if it could be legitimate. and i am glad i did not trust him. it sounds like these people are sketchy...i called back the number and it said it had been disconnected.
This number called my cell on 4/9/08. I did not answer as it was coming from unknown Florida exchange. Traced on whitepages.com reverse number as Southern Bell Landline (unlisted) from Boca Raton, Florida on West Palmetto Drive or Road.
they called twice today! once to lower my card rates - i just hung up, and again just now to sell me a vaction. I pressed "1" and played along for a while, gave them a bogus name. They turn into real a**holes when you start pressing them for details. When I mentioned I was on the DNC list the guy said "and how's that working for ya?" Phishing Scam - beware!
Despite being on the Do Not Call list I got so fed up with all these unwanted calls (including from 561-482-7092) I found this neat little unit that can be programmed to either block or send unwanted calls to your answering machine without your phone ever ringing! You can add as many numbers as you want and even program it to have ALL 800, 888, 877, & 866 numbers dumped straight into the answering machine. I’ve had it about three weeks and love it. Found it at BlockTelemarketers.net
