No actual doctor will call someone with a blocked number but fake doctors from Asia, and Belize will call people with spoofed numbers.

I have found that I get many calls from Geisinger as well as other PA residents because my cell number starts 570-814 -xxxx. The automated system for Geisinger does not dial a 1 for some reason so when it calls 814 area codes where the next three numbers match my cell #---than it calls my cell because the phone network automatically inserts the 570. I have had this issue ever since I had this cell number considering the 814 and 570 area codes in PA are next to each other. This may or may not be a similar issue for many of you.

That is Geisingers display number for caller ID. Also see 570-271-6000 for appt reminders. I get calls from the 953 number when it's actually people from the hospital calling. I get the 271 number when it's an automated appt reminder message. And yes there's others too. Depends on which part of the hospital your calling from, depends on which phone system it's relayed over.

We do have Geisinger & after speaking with someone there regarding a family member's health issues, I was referred to a social worker there about the condition of our apartment. She called me from this number, but the number I was given to call in was an 808 exchange. I haven't tried to call this number back. The number looked familiar & I looked it up to make sure it's not my landlady's office line. The lady calling sure sounded like her. The search showed it's a Scranton number though.

Got 2 calls back to back from this number yesterday. Didn't think too much of it since we get people calling our number thinking they're calling Anthem (BC/BS). Figured I'd Google the number just the same and came here. Came up as follows:Geisinger Healt570-953-7500

I received a phone call from this phone number today stating that my daughter's medication was approved today. My daughter didn't have any Dr. appointments or any medication needed from any preauthorization. This was such a strange phone call which i then said that something is fishy here since it makes no sense to me. The woman on the other end said to call my Dr.'s office to get the info. The woman would not say who or which office authorized the medication "Latuda" for my child. I proceeded to tell the woman that I never had any medications for my child and I don't know what she is talking about. We ended the conversation with the understanding that I was calling the family Dr. office and that I never authorized anything.
