I've been receiving calls from this number for a few days. No message left on the machine. This morning, when it showed up on the caller ID again as Unknown 517-431-1960, I picked up with a terse hello to see if I could get clues to make it stop. Silence of the tomb for a long, long time, then the clicking of being disconnected. So glad I checked here. I'll have their number saved if there are charge-backs on my bill and I've had to look up how to block numbers, so I've learned something! Thanks, everyone.

Oh great. It's a feature I have to pay to sign up for. Does anyone know if hitting the 9 key fast and furious is still recommended to try messing up their system? Did that ever work or not? I'll check Snopes...

You just wait for the sub human to come on the line then you BLAST THEM with a loud whistle. Airhorns work too. You may have to repeat, the crooks that do this kind of work are not very smart and may not immediately realize the whistle means STOP CALLING FOREVER.

My bestest and most gratifying way to eliminate those telemarketers. I am thinking about buying stock in the whistle business. I tell people a dozen times a day to use that approach. I pay for my phone, and it is for my personal business. I don't care who has the "right" to call me; I wouldn't answer the door if I didn't know you, and I will not accept your solicitations, either. You don't want to get your ear popped...? Then don't call me. Believe me, if I wanted to buy something, I wouldn't be waiting for some jerk to call me on the phone about it.

21 pages on this number! This should be proof that the people at this number are harrassing people and should have their service terminated. When is the phone company going to start allowing people to block all of these harrassing phone calls at no charge? They need to do something other than just collect money from people for automated services. What a rip off!

got a call from this number and caller ID listed Maritz research. I do not answer such calls; do not know, have no business with them and don't talk to them. I do not appreciate the calls.
