I just received a call t 3:15. Woman asked if I knew that the new laws will reduce my car insurance. I asked where she was calling from and she said the National Insurance Council. She then asked if my car was insured. I said yes and asked why she was calling me. She said "You'll change insurance companies if it will save you money, right?" I then asked how she got my number and she said it is manual dial and I asked again how she got my number and she started stumbling over her words. I asked for her name and company name and she apologized and hung up. I tried calling back and only got a busy signal.
I just received a call at 3:39 pm. I answered and said "hello?" ... There was a pause and then I said "hello?" again, at which point an automated woman's voice said "hello?" back to me. I wasn't entirely sure at this point if it was a real woman or not, so I started to say "hello? who is ..." and I was cut off by the voice which again said "hello?" in exactly the same way as the first time. That's when I knew the voice was automated, so I hung up. It was very sketchy and weird. I was a little disturbed, which is why I looked it up and found this site. Hopefully it's nothing... Called back, and it's a busy signal, just like everyone here has said.
Just got a call from this num. I am at work so I did not answer. Looking at all this I am glad I didn't! Called back to a non working number message. This is wrong with the holidays coming up. Beware who you give your information to!
I picked up the phone and heard a "beep" (similar to the one you hear before leaving a message on a voicemail), then a pause, then "Hello?" *pause* "I'm sorry, goodbye". Called back twice and got a busy signal. Sketchy.
I agree. Sketchy. I just got off the phone with my bank. The bank was advertising mortgage rates. Less than a minute later, this car insurance company called. Told them my son was screaming and now was not a good time.
I have received this before also. Never answered so I looked it up and now I'm telling those out there that I put the word Never as the name for a contact and now I know if I get the number again I won't be curious. I know it is a scam. Can't control them robo calling but I now I won't be curious. Merry Christmas.
