It's good to hear from someone that has compassion for the victims of this and other scams, and does not put the blame on the victim, but on the perpetrator of the scam. So many people posting here simply complain about being bothered by the scammers, but never indicate they have done anything to help others avoid being taken advantage of. Blocking calls, and using air horns etc. "may" help on an individual level, but does nothing to solve the main problem of people ( Mainly the gullible and the elderly) being cheated out of their hard earned, and much needed money.

And if others would do, as I have been advising since last August, and you have learned, --- to waste the "card services" scammer's time to get them of our backs, they wouldn't be bothered by these pests any longer!

I called Telus and reported this issue. The guy took a full report, with my name and number. I gave him the information I found here, and he told me that Telus has a department for this. So if this number calls you, REPORT IT. It's obviously some scumbag criminal organisation.

Considering the statements made, it certainly raises the possibility that he (or she ) was under the influence of some sort of mind altering substance themselves at the time of their posting. I would imagine there are different "classes" among addicts, and some would be thought of as more, or less, "honest" than others, it's all relative I suppose---i.e. some skunks do not have as pungent an odor as others.

Just another low life telemarketer. Why don't you call your mom and sell everything that you got in your supermarket to her. Afterwards, you quit your low paying job and take your mom and go back where you are from and do not come back here again. They need you and your mom much more there than in here. We do not need people like you and people like your mom in here. You and your mom can call the same people like you and the same people like your mom at anytime from anywhere either from the street or sidewalk.If you call my number again, my answering service machine would be more than happy to deal with disgusting people like you and people like your mom.

My sentiments exactly. They only call because people respond to them. If no one answers their calls, what is the point? They exist because there is a market and our spineless government refuses to do anything about it because there is nothing in it for them. How long do you talk to someone who will not respond? If you insist on talking to them, then you are the source of your problem.

Just answered this call. I told the man on the other end that I didn't have any credit cards and where they got my number from. He just hung up. Big scam! I feel bad for the actual people that have this number, as it came up with a persons name on my caller ID
