Got a call with Display saying Unknown Name; no message left. To Jane and everyone accusing of racism - please Google for CBC Marketplace: To Catch a Telemarketer. It is an expose of these off-shore call centres, most are located in Karachi, Pakistan. They are knowingly committing fraud.These call centres are hired by, or are part of, organized crime. ANY of the fake surveys, win a cruise, lower your interest/credit card, claim your prize, free travel/timeshare, fake Microsoft Tech Support - are ALL scams trying to access your personal data, credit card info, income level, employment info, or access your computer TO COMMIT FRAUD. They use the data to create Fake IDs and commit more fraud in your name (including fake passports!) - this is world-wide, people! Check the RCMP Top Scams website.Do not speak to a live rep, press ANY buttons, or try to call back - this just confirms your number is valid and you get more calls. JUST HANG UP. They sell/share/rent the lists, as well as using robo-dialers by computer over VoIP connections to prevent tracing (can you say 'crooks'?). The numbers they call from are spoofed, and change every few weeks - so you get the same scam calls over and over and over. Reporting to your anti-fraud unit does help; writing your elected official to pressure them to support funding the anti-fraud units and update , and at the very least warns the public which scams are currently operating.The Do Not Call Registries work well for LEGIT companies, who follow those regulations. Crooks don't CARE and LIE. (Yes, I've filed complaints about Zedd Marketing and Rogers violating the rules by claiming 'multiple campaigns' as an excuse for repeated calls to try and up-sell you.)

Our phone is a critical link to family, friends and work contacts -- people near, far and sometimes in loving health matters or emergency needs. That these S.O.B.s use bogus names (M. McGee) to get around "unknown caller" is a cheap shot and despicable form of harassment. We will get these slimy [***] in time. Just wait

This number called me tonight, recorded message about lower my credit interest. I pressed 1 to speak to a rep and asked them to remove my number. I spoke to a VERY rude Indian woman, who said the calls will stop once I pay $495. She wouldn't give me a chance to speak then she hung up on me. They can [***] off, I've blocked their number. If they call me again from a different number, I'll be ready for them. I have my own recorded message for them.

I have asked them several times to remove me from their caller list. I do not own a credit card and do not need lower rates. This is very annoying. They just hang up on me when I ask to be removed.

LOL -Make that "involving" health matters. "In loving" health matters is a whole other thing
