They just called me. I've had several 604 scam calls lately. I didn't answer this one and I do not answer any calls from a number I don't know or a number listed as "private" I would like to know how they got my number though. I'm in Eastern Ontario too. Scammers!

Phone rang and I picked up receiver, I didn't say anything, it was recorded message about credit card. Hit #7 on phone several times. I was told by a friend that would knock our number out of their system. I hope she's right.

Are they really mainly drug addicts , or is that your name for them?

Many calls from this number plus cost me on my cell. Could be charged with harrassment if I knew name of company.

I was told that he couldn't remove me??? Yet it's law to remove when requested!!I know cause my Husband & I worked as financial advisors & it's your Right Ironically when I tell them this they hang up on me every time!! Asking for a fee in your case is utterly RIDICULOUS!!

Exactly. These scumbags prey on the most vulnerable members of society and would gladly take the last dime of a person who desperately needs it. The elderly are prime targets and most at risk since they are more prone to believing anyone who sounds official in any way.

Number was on display when I got home. Figured it was a call center. No message left.

The people who are elderly now were raised in an entirely different era, where others could generally be trusted, there was mutual respect, and their word could be accepted as truthful. Unfortunately, those who are the prime targets, mainly the elderly, possibly due to financial considerations, do not have the luxury of internet access and caller id, which could help them avoid being taken advantage of---the scammers recognize this. We all need to alert those we feel to be vulnerable to these disgusting creatures!
