i've read it on the pages here that talking to them flags your number to get more calls - so they can try to work you harder.collect the information from the message if you want and then send a complaint to the FTC & the FCC

Claims to be from "cardholder services" offering a low interest rate.

This number called my cell with a recorded message on how they could lower my credit card interest and this was my final notice. I have no credit cards and pressed one to be taken off their list as my cell is listed on the Do Not Call list. No one picked up.

No one answers wshen you answer the call. I called back - WCA subscriber call, offering a home security service that is "free" if you just put an advert in your front yard. When you try to opt out by pressing 2 on the keypad, doesn't work.

This is what I do, if I have the opportunity to take the call, I do, press the numbers that get you to the scammer, then I play with them. Play stupid, put on an extremely hard to understand accent, even pretend to give them bogus information. Just start taking out your aggressions and BS these people left and right. Waste their time as much as possible, obviously without wasting too much of your time. After 30 seconds or so, just say. "Thank you very much, Tracing complete"

Yes, no one answered this time. One time , I did get someone to answer and I told them I did not need their services as we owe no one and they hung up. One site said when I looked the other number up that when we answer the number is sold to someone else. SO DON'T ANSWER THE CALL (esp. since you don't know who it is). Maybe the insanity will stop sometime.
