Wow! I am so glad I found this site! I just got a call from American Life (267-419-8825) and experienced the same as many of you. The person was VERY difficult to hear and there was A LOT of noise in the background. She talked fast, saying they were looking for customer service managers and sales, and wanted to meet with me tomorrow at 10am. Not until the end when I asked did I get the name of the company. The whole thing was sketchy and unprofessional, so I started googling. Glad I did!
Thank you so much for posting this! the same happened to me and with the same person. When I hanged up the phone I just felt like it was weird and very suspicious so I went online and search and found this. Thank you! you literally saved me a 45 min drive to this placed!. I am definitely not going to be assisting the interview!
The woman said her name was Alecia to call her at 610-278-4801. But the caller ID said 267-419-8825. She said she was calling on behalf of AIL TorchMark. But when I looked it up. It's American Insurance something. Thank you, I won't be driving 45mins for nothing.

I believe this is a scam! After reading several posts about the so called HR department this# above no one answers! Somethings not right!
Received phone call asking me to come to an interview for several job openings. I was told to bring copy of my resume and references. Red flags went up when I ask ADA fro HR to send copy of job description to my email. Also she never gave the mane of the company. To prepare for an interview, you att least need to prepare using job descriptionThat did not happen . I am glad that I always do research before attending an interview
I just got a call from them yesterday I think was Kim also and she dope really fast and then text me the address of where the interview was to be held but it's two hrs away from where I live in Philadelphia and after I Google maps the directions on how to get there, found out the travel time and then found these posts I'm not even calling them to the decline the offer I'm just going to put them on blacklist.........CALL REJECTED. Thanks to everyone for helping me dodge a bullet.
I was contacted by someone who identified himself as Dean from American Income, (he didn't state that this was an insurance company, so you won't know until you do some investigating), he stated that my resume was found on Monster and that my resume went through Mr. Housman, (the director) and Mr. Cohen and they thought the managerial position was the best fit for me making $50,000.00 plus per year but they wouldn't say what position exactly, (who states the salary amount on the first phone contact?). Dean said that I would need to go in the very next day for a meeting and that the meeting would take 90 minutes and to bring 3 references that could be business references or personal, (no mention of a seminar). I went to the scheduled meeting, at first it was a one on one then I was to attend a seminar, during the seminar I spoke to others they said exactly the same thing as above. There were about 15 people in the seminar and they were all told that they would be making the same salary and the same position. If this information was true how can a business stay afloat? I tried to call the web site number, 610. 277.9499 and could only leave a message in which no one responds to, it states that they are closed every day of the week except on Thursdays, (how can a business run with the main office being closed 6 days per week?). The person who interviewed me gave me his card and said to call his personal cell number, (the only 2 numbers were the web site number and his personal number). I called the cell number to thank him for the interview and it went directly into VM. When he called me back it was on his personal time with his kids as he stated. American Income wants you to get licensure to be able to sell insurance, (I think that part is real). I believe the insurance company itself might be real but how they go about getting contacts and hiring people is a scam, (its misleading). I would not purchase insurance or sell insurance with a company that misleads people in this manner.
