Called 8:22 pm. Has called multiple times in the past few weeks. Portfolio Recovery has called my # from numbers from PA, WA, and several other states. I have no outstanding debt.

If you know anything about the law, they cannot get a warrant for your arrest and the cops will not show up. Talk to a lawyer I did, I will do wonders. Shoot even search online, not hard. These people are liers and some people will believe them. Don't!!

Are these people for real? Do they ever sue people and if it is under $1000, will they try to persue you?

If they are legit, they need to be professional and leave a message! Most people do not answer if we don't know who is calling!

STUPIDER THAN USUAL SHILL ALERT!!!! ...anyone dumb enough to post this BS is even toO stupid to be a scammer. No, "Heidi" or whatever your real name is, they won't go through that process in the US. Debt is a civil issue...no warrants. I'm not sure what debt is like where you actually are from but the Police won't be showing up if you did owe money, even if a judgment is obtained in a court of law. Try shoveling out horse stalls; you've certainly got enough experience with slinging sh*t.

They just called my cell phone when I answered the phone they said they were trying to collect the debt that was over 10 years old.. When I asked them if they had the original contract they said we have the paperwork I said do you have the original contract and they kept repeating the same thing so I told them when they send me the original paperwork for a debt that's over 10 years old that has been wiped off my credit history period. When I told this to them I was informed that they could still press charges against me and I said no you cannot you cannot without first sending me the original contract. Profile recovery is nothing but a scam and all they do is you scare tactics to try to get money for a very old debts.

Portfolio Recovery called me threatening me with being arrested for not paying a debt. I was told a warrant was out for my arrest. I told them that this debt was discharged in a bankruptcy and it was an old debt that was past the statute of limitations and could not be collected on. Caller threatened me again with being arrested. I further told them that I work for my local police department and if they did not cease and desist, that i would report them and ensue legal action against them. They promptly hung up.
