What she is saying is categorically false. The police will not show up and arrest someone for a civil matter. Arrest warrants are only issued in criminal cases, not paying a debt isn't a violation of the law. If you do not show up for a court date, the judge will enter a no contest judgement for the creditor. That judgement will most likely go on your credit record. When a person doesn't pay their judgement, the creditor can seek to garnish your wages and/or your bank account (which is usually granted). But that's the extent of it. IT's very rare that a debt collector will sue someone because a) it's beyond the statute of limitations or b) they do not have the original signed contract and/or documentation.
Ummm no,the police doesn't show up at your door. It's against the law to threaten with police or any threat period. Poloce will never arrest anyone regarding a debt.. Call a lawyer get some common sense , then you'll learn about some actual truth.
