613-333-3456: received same type of call tonight. Had my husband's name and the correct last 4 numbers of our credit card. Tried to get heavily accented female voice to tell me her company's name and finally hung up. Called my bank and this is a common scam. They either got the info from a credit card receipt or someone sold it to them. The bank put a warning on my account and I will be notified if anyone tries to change my address or other personal info.

I got this call today (A SUNDAY!!). Didnt answer it though. I never do if I dont recognize the number. And did a websearch on it and found this site. Yep good thing.

I have received a total of 7 calls since Christmas from these characters. They are based out of Ottawa Canada so I don't know if there is anything anyone can do. They call after 9pm and before 9AM. I've just received a third call in within 10 hours from these creeps. It is a phishing scam - they want your email address to send you a link and then get you to give them your credit card and security code numbers. I file a complaint online with www.donotcall.gov and with the Attorney General's office of my state each and every time I receive a call. I verified with my bank about these people - they say it is definitely a phishing scam and as long as they do not have the full credit card number, there is nothing they (the callers) can do to charge anything on the card. The bank verifies that they feel the credit card information is coming from Walmart which fits as I never shop there but my son did, with my permission and use of my credit card. I will no longer permit him shop at Walmart because of this.

I just receive a call from this number. I did not answer their phone call. My answering machine pick up and who ever called stayed on line for a long time all I can here was noise in the background. This is why I checked this number because I don't have anyone with this area code or phone number. Be careful for who you answer the phone. Do like me if you don't recognized the number don't answer it.

I received 2 calls from this # tonight. I don't answer calls when I don't know the #. They didn't leave any message, but my phone identified the # as coming from Ontario, Canada. After reading these messages, I'm glad I didn't answer or call it back.

Also, got the same call and the woman knew the last 4 digits of my old Visa card. It was cancelled because awhile ago someone charged an inexpensive unauthorized item. Interestingly, I discovered this when I tried to increase my minutes on my MCI calling card but Visa would not approve the transaction. When I contacted them, I discovered the unauthorized card. It was for a small amount. Visa had blocked my card. Anyway, this card no longer is valid. The person said she was from Global Rewards. I see this number originates in Canada. Does Canada have a no call registry like the U.S.? When I asked her why she was calling me because I do not want unsolicited calls, she just kept talking.

Three calls from this number; called my provider, had that number blocked.T
