I agree with you. for the Credit card scammers please call the FTC @ 877-382-4357. I filed a complaint a year ago and have agreed to keep calling with new numbers. THey told me they shut one group down but another pops up right away. Instead of complaining on these boards people should use their time to complain to someone who might eventually be able to stop these people with the publics help. They are also very interested in the IRS scammers who call threatening to have people arrested or telling people the only way to avoid a lawsuit is to pay up by credit card.
Laws, and the provisions of the DNC Registry, are for those who willingly follow the rules on behalf of, and in, everyone's best interest. That being said, it's clear that anyone who wishes to cheat/scam/steal from you will circumvent any conventional laws. Scamming, spoofing, identity-thieving culprits spend 24/7 coming up with new ways to maximize technology; if you're a law-abiding citizen, you'll never catch up to these criminals.So, what to do? If you have messaging on your phone, let friends, family, and professional contacts know that you don't answer the phone unless you recognize the number...if they start to leave a legitimate message and you're home, you'll pick up the phone. Don't answer any call from a number you don't know. Don't stress over unwanted calls...there's little you can do to eliminate them, so just ignore them.
Received robocall on my cell phone informing me that I had won a prize. Hung up as soon as I recognized it as a spam call.
