Got a call from this number but didn't answer. There was a voicemail message I could not understand - the guy had a heavy accent. I think I heard Rose International, but I'm not sure.call me back 636812000 ext 6517
Rose IT is definitely a real IT recruiting company!!!! I worked a contract IT position with Wells Fargo through Rose! Pleasant recruiting staff, at least those I talked with before and after my interviews with Wells. As I recall, they checked in on me a few different times during my first week with Wells. They also extended me a payroll advance while there, no hassle! Although, I DO NOT agree with Rose recruiting practice of asking/requesting your SSN/DOB over the phone. But I would advise that you do not give your SSN/DOB to ANY recruiting company over the phone at least until a conditional offer of employment has been extended to you. I have nothing bad to say about this company! I read many of the postings here going back as far as '08' and tolerance is definitely in order!I'm not here to discredit anyone else experience with Rose, just here to share mine.
I have worked for Rose International at BofA. It is standard procedure for BofA to ask for your SSN when considering you for a position. I have worked for them a couple of times.
Actually, I received a call yesterday night at (7:48 pm EDT) from (636) 812- 4000, didn't have the faintest idea who would be calling me, as my phone displayed, from Chesterfield, MO, especially at that time of night! So I went ahead and answered it and to my surprise it was Rose, calling me about another IT contract position! But that wasn't even the biggest surprise! It was the voice speaking on the other end of the phone that took that prize! It sounded like a white guy communicating to me clearly and concisely about the role that he felt I would be a good fit for. I must say, I was stunned, then stunned turned into suspicion, as I, like many of you was accustom to the thick Indian accents as well as a request sooner or later for my SSN/DOB for submission to the position. None of this was the case on this call which is why my suspicion was aroused! So immediately after finishing up my conversation with Dave Mares, I went to my laptop and put in the 636# and this site as well as Rose International website came up. I decided to click on this link and as I said in my previous post I begin reading postings that dated back to '08'. And, I still say TOLERANCE is definitely in order, and as you have read, myself included!!! Again, I'm not here to discredit anyone else experience OR promote Rose, just sharing my own experience.
To all,This idiot company is not the only one. Seems like some companies in INDIA have set up operations, what they do is search all the available job sites and then your info on indeed or careerbuilder, and try to con you into thinking it is their "client". I tried return call once, and my phone started telling me I was making an international call (first tip-off).If you can get ANY info about the job (company, location, job description), you can usually find yourself.AND NEVER GIVE THEM SSN!. OR SIGN ANYTHING! NO company I know of requires that until you are actually hired.NOTE: there are a bunch of these companies out there, dead give away is indian accent, and they try to fool you with an american sounding name.
I totally agree, I'm clear across the country so why would somebody in St. Louis be calling?also they asked for my SS# and birthdate, I went to the company here in town where they were trying to place me and the company said they never heard of rose international!!!!!
Occasionally get a call from Rose International offering to submit me for a job. Usually no heavy accent but still not the clearest of messages. As I do not want to apply for most of the position offered so far so I often ignore the message. Have not had more than a quick call and email exchange. Today's message was for a position near where the US main office is located in Missouri - convenient to where I lived many years ago but not now.Not as bad as dozens of other recruiters that attempt to contact me but cannot verify as a valid recruiter.Classifying as Telemarketer as I did not directly solicit them to contact me. Although, as I am looking for work my information is on job boards.
This number may have come up as Rose International today when they called, but the voicemail left, was threatening me with a summons and jail time for an unpaid payday loan which I don't even have. So these scammers have now resorted to using legit phone numbers to mask their feeble attempts of scamming people out of money. Please report any calls from this number to the FTC and your Attory General!
